What: Posts containing links directing people to websites that request personal information before showing content. This includes requesting information such as a person’s name, social media login, phone number, email, or mailing address. This does not apply to websites that put their content behind a paywall.
Why: People have told us they do not like it when they visit a website from Facebook and the website requests personal information before people can access content. In addition, websites use this tactic to harvest people’s personal information.
