What: Pages that post videos that are not primarily filmed or produced by the Page, including videos that are repurposed from other sources with limited added value. These types of pages generally post:
Videos aggregated from multiple third-party sources.
Duplicative videos that the Page had no role in creating.
Video content from other sources with minor, but not meaningful changes, including adding meme bars, logos, changing background music, or describing what happens with no additional information.
This does not apply to the direct resharing of others’ content.
Why: People have told us they want original content on Facebook. Pages primarily distributing videos repurposed from other sources with limited editorialization do not foster engaged, loyal communities in the way that Pages that produce and publish original content do.
