Inauthentic Sharing

What: People or Pages engaging in behavior that artificially boosts views or engagement for the purpose of increasing distribution from Facebook will have the distribution of their posts reduced. This behavior includes the coordinated, artificial distribution of the same content at high rates across multiple, seemingly disparate entities, as well as creating many seemingly independent Pages or fake accounts to hyper-share the same content.

Why: We want creators to authentically share content with the Facebook community, so we create disincentives for inauthentic sharing. We also want the content in your Feed to be representative of the whole community, and not only individuals excessively sharing lots of content.
